In honour of a lot of my close friends getting married lately, I would like to dedicate a little space to the importance of the ring! Now it has been known that myself and a friend (neither of whom are close to being engaged) will, when in Westfield, wonder into De Beers and Tiffany's and glance at the rings that might be (or not). But we all dream, so heck, why not aim for the stars (or cuts in a diamond)?
It is so funny when talking to friends however how some have very different takes on what their ideal engagement ring is. Some draw away from the Diamond altogether, wanting to make a statement with a Sapphire, Emerald or Ruby instead. Some want simplicity and some have the notion that more is better!
Well it's clear to say that each ring has their own woman, or is it the other way round? Maybe not. The ring does make the woman, and just as you know when you say yes to the that love of your life, you know when it is the ring for you. That's why, if any guys are by chance reading this blog, my advice would be propose with a dummy ring (cheaper still pretty alternative) and let the lady choose the winner. We at the end of the day will wear it for eternity, so let us be the ones to decide.
Below I have selected just a few winners from all price ranges, as we all know that not every guy (as much as they might like too) cannot afford the stars.

Hatton Gardens just off Chancery Lane in Central London is a famous street of jewelers renowned for their specialist knowledge and ability to under cut the market. Many people take their desired shape or style to one of these jewelers to mimic it for a cheaper price!
Also, Hatton Gardens is famous for their vintage rings. I personally like the idea of a ring with some history. Below I have selected a range from a great little store, with great prices.
