It's all about the RING!

In honour of a lot of my close friends getting married lately, I would like to dedicate a little space to the importance of the ring! Now it has been known that myself and a friend (neither of whom are close to being engaged) will, when in Westfield, wonder into De Beers and Tiffany's and glance at the rings that might be (or not). But we all dream, so heck, why not aim for the stars (or cuts in a diamond)?

It is so funny when talking to friends however how some have very different takes on what their ideal engagement ring is. Some draw away from the Diamond altogether, wanting to make a statement with a Sapphire, Emerald or Ruby instead. Some want simplicity and some have the notion that more is better!

Well it's clear to say that each ring has their own woman, or is it the other way round? Maybe not. The ring does make the woman, and just as you know when you say yes to the that love of your life, you know when it is the ring for you. That's why, if any guys are by chance reading this blog, my advice would be propose with a dummy ring (cheaper still pretty alternative) and let the lady choose the winner. We at the end of the day will wear it for eternity, so let us be the ones to decide.

Below I have selected just a few winners from all price ranges, as we all know that not every guy (as much as they might like too) cannot afford the stars.

Typse:
Hatton Gardens just off Chancery Lane in Central London is a famous street of jewelers renowned for their specialist knowledge and ability to under cut the market. Many people take their desired shape or style to one of these jewelers to mimic it for a cheaper price!

Also, Hatton Gardens is famous for their vintage rings. I personally like the idea of a ring with some history. Below I have selected a range from a great little store, with great prices.

Vintage Rings from Andrew R Ullmann Ltd. :

£330.00 Platinum and princess-cut diamond ring.

£500.00 18ct white gold and diamond ring.

£840.00 Platinum, sapphire and diamond ring

 *** favourite for it's price ***
£2400.00 Single stone platinum and diamond ring with diamond shoulders, c. 1930s. Weight of centre stone 0.80ct.

My favourite ring is definitely the Tiffany Cut Round Solitaire Engagement Ring

DB Signature Three-Stone ring

This is definitely for ladies who like the real 'bling' factor.

CARTIER - visit their bridal collection

Solitaire 1895
"This solitaire has been a Cartier classic since 1895.

EASTER WEEKEND and 25% off at DP!!!

I am not sure about you ladies, but over the past year I have been loving the price and ranges coming out of Dorothy Perkins lately.

Building on their stylish collections, their clothes seem to cater more to the 12 - 18 size range, and unlike most high street collections making the larger lady feel like a whale squeezing into a wet suit, they actually make women look good!

So as special Easter treat DP are offering everyone a 25% discount, just by entering this code at the checkout: DPVIPE at Dorothy Perkins

Therefore in honour of Spring arriving I have chosen just some of a few of my favourite dresses for all occasions.

For those jazzed up spring evenings, why not move back to the 20s with this Ivory Scallop Beaded dress for £59. Don't worry about your hips and tum in this dress, all will be hidden ;)

If however you are just looking for that perfect Little Black Dress, why not try this Black Lace Detail dress for £35. Sexy with this open cut back it holds you in all the right places, and for those of you that struggle in the bust and waist areas, this dress will draw the curves in all the right places.

If you feel like mimicking the Chanel vibe, how about trying this Black / Ivory Embellished Flower dress for £49. Perfect for those hot summer after work drinks, it's great for people who have short bodies and long legs.

If you are feeling like you want hit the more casual festival chic look this spring, why not try this beautifully detailed Blue Crochet Paisley dress for £35. This again is great for making you look slim in all the right places, drawing the waist line in, and falling in an A-line so your bum doesn't look too big. Plus, my tip of the day is print will always look great as it disguises cleverly the  bumps and lumps that may (every now and then) pop out from under those pair of spanx! ha ha, we've all been there, and there is no shame in that!

Oh Oh, could this be the hottest sandal this summer?

Perhaps!
Now the Gladiator sandal is something that has been coming back over the past few years, predominately making its mark in Gold and Tan. But Office are now expanding on a good thing by going all out! My favourtie of the collection are these Zebra print for £40. Making that statement in any outfit, it is sure to grab the attention of passers by.

Check out more of their styles and colours at the OFFICE website, below is just a snapshot! Oooo I am so excited, let's hope they stock up!
